Publication Process

Submission and Screening Process

All manuscripts submitted to the SPAMAST Research Journal are promptly acknowledged by the Editorial Team and assigned a unique manuscript number. The initial screening, a thorough process that involves evaluating the submission according to the Guide for Authors’ Checklist and conducting a plagiarism check using standard software (such as Turnitin and Grammarly), ensures the highest standards of quality and originality.

If the manuscript meets the journal’s preliminary requirements, it proceeds to the formal review stage. Otherwise, it is returned to the corresponding author for revision and resubmission.

Pre-Evaluation

The Editorial Staff reviews the manuscript for completeness, formatting, and adherence to SRJ guidelines within a standard period (e.g., 15-30 working days). A plagiarism detection report is generated. Authors are notified of the outcome: those with compliant manuscripts move to the next phase. At the same time, those requiring revisions are provided with detailed feedback and guidance, ensuring a supportive and constructive process.

Internal Review

An Internal Editor, a key figure in our review process, evaluates the scientific substance and relevance of the manuscript within 15-30 working days. Authors are informed whether their work advances to the next stage or requires revision. All requested changes from this stage should be submitted within 30-60 working days. Non-compliance leads to rejection.

External Review

At least two independent peer reviewers will assess manuscripts progressing beyond Internal Review in a double-masked format. The Editorial Team issues invitations, coordinates responses, and tracks progress, ensuring a fair and objective review process. The review cycle generally lasts 30-90 working days, with timelines adjusted for complexity or reviewer availability.

Editorial Feedback and Revision

After peer review, the Internal Editor synthesizes reviewer feedback and communicates recommendations to the author within five working days. Authors must address reviewers’ comments by submitting detailed responses and a revised manuscript, using color highlighting or matrices to signify changes, within the set timeframe (typically 30-60 working days). The review–revision loop may repeat until the manuscript is deemed suitable for publication or is formally rejected for non-compliance.

Proofreading

Accepted manuscripts enter the proofreading stage, a final quality check where a Language Editor ensures grammar and clarity meet our standards. Authors must revise accordingly and return changes within 7-15 working days.

Publication

Upon final approval, the Editorial Team prepares the galley proof for author confirmation, usually within five working days. The finalized article is published online and scheduled for inclusion in the journal’s next issue.
